About Us

Welcome to Nevernaut Learning! 

We’re an interest-led homeschooling family based in Tampa, FL, on a wild path to create lifelong learners. In order to do that, we have fostered a learning environment of healing, curiosity, support and collaboration. 

After leaving the public system broken & defeated, our family felt literally lost in space in this new world of homeschool possibilities. We tried every homeschooling style and after much trial and error, research and consideration, we launched into interest-led homeschooling (often referred to as ‘unschooling’) and have never turned back. 

This crew is neuro-spicy (a.k.a. neurodivergent) to the max. We’re a rag-tag group of brilliant, non-conforming, independent, free-range explorers of all things fascinating, weird and inspiring. Where neurodivergent differences and learning challenges might have once hindered our kids ability to fit inside the box of traditional educational settings, has all but exponentially expanded their learning possibilities outside of the classroom in this season of homeschooling life. 

Danielle Calhoun, upholds the role of Learning Crew Chief. She has an extensive background in instructional design, training, and creative content strategy. Danielle has taught at every end of the teaching spectrum, from training on executive levels for Coca-Cola Enterprises, substitute teaching, all the way to presenting a TEDx Talk and many other national speaking engagements. Her ability to creatively explore and present content in tangible, inspiring new ways, has only served her children’s learning journey for the better. 

Along with our musical punk rocker (Aiden, 15), nature-loving hippy kiddo (Eli, 13), and husband, we desire to defy expectations, embrace curiosity, and create a learning journey that’s truly out of this world!
